Hey, I just received my doll string few days ago which I ordered from Dollmore. My girl had a bath and got her string changed
I dont have any tools that people usually use for restringing. Since I'm super desperate that I wanted to change her string, I gave it a try. And this is my first time on restringing. Learnt from tutorials from various sources.
I used ribbons, paper clips, pens and cotton bud during the progress. Here's some photos on how I do it, I'm sorry that I did not take photos more details too.

I made some mistake during restringing, which I supposed to do the arms part first but I did the legs first. So, hope you can understand the photos. @_@ Please do the arms first when you're restringing.
The eyes has been removed
This is how Camelia looks like without her eyes.
Excessive eye putty inside her head
Spots need to be cleaned
Head, eye putty (too much) and the eyes
After removed the head, placed a pen like that then remove the S-hook.
I dont have any plier, so I used this way, stuff a pen between the string. Start with the feet.
Same method for the arms.
Dismantled everything
After that, I cleaned the parts using magic sponge.
Mixture of water and detergent, soaked. I used a toothbrush to clean some parts.
Dry with towel and leave it in an open space with good airflow. Beware of the sun, no direct sunlight.
Her eyelashes dropped off when I bathed her. I used a human fake eyelash to replace the lashes.
Cut and trim.
Glue the rim of the eyelash, you may use white glue but I'm using normal human eyelashes glue because I couldnt find my PVA white glue.
Done with the lashes *I love long eyelashes Lol*
From the side
She's ready for restringing now :D
Loop the string *photo below* then stretch it as much as you can with the height/length of assembled body.
Then tie it with a ribbon
Like I said, I dont have any tools, so I use a pen instead. Open up the paper clip and tie it with the ribbon
I used a cotton bud because I couldnt find anything that can be used to push the ribbon into the hole.
* Paper clip go in first, then followed by ribbon. After the end of paper came out from the end of the hole, pull it*
Use a pen to hold the string from being pull back since it is stretched. Then hook the S-hook of feet or hand with the string, release the pen and cut the ribbon. I pulled the string a bit and it makes me easier to hook the S-hook with the string.
Done!
She can sit and stand without leaning now :D
